Mobile Software Engineer (Android) – Payments

About the role

Booksy is looking for a Mobile Software Engineer specialized in Android to help build and evolve its payment ecosystem. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate product vision into reliable, secure code that powers millions of appointments worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust, secure payment flows that form the core of Booksy’s financial platform.
• Integrate and optimise diverse payment methods, including BLIK, Tap to Pay, and Booksy physical card readers.
• Refactor legacy payment systems using proven design patterns to ensure data integrity and security.
• Manage end‑to‑end money flows, guaranteeing high availability for provider payouts and financial reconciliation.
• Raise engineering standards by promoting code quality and collaborative development practices within the financial stack.
• Leverage AI tools to automate parts of the development lifecycle and enhance payment processing reliability.
• Improve code review processes with AI‑driven detection of edge cases in transaction logic.
• Participate in strategic decisions shaping Booksy’s payment rails and fintech roadmap.

Required skills
