MRTT Ground Support Equipment Engineer

About the role

A vacancy for a TASSE64 Ground Support Equipment Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space Service organization. The successful applicant will join the MRTT GSE department located in Getafe (Madrid area). The department is responsible for the identification, design, development and validation of ground support equipment needed for aircraft operation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of technical specifications and requirement collection
• Technical support to supplier selection
• Design follow‑up and prototype manufacturing follow‑up
• Validation of equipment on the aircraft and qualification/compatibility tests
• Preparation of GSE recommendations for customers
• Evaluation of customer existing GSE capabilities (site surveys)
• Provide technical assistance and support installation/commissioning of GSEs at customer MOB
• Analysis of aircraft modification impact on developed GSEs

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written)
• Strong team player with an open mindset
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work in multinational teams
• Creative problem‑solving abilities
