Network Engineer

About the role

Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is hiring a Network Engineer within its Global IT organization in Madrid. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring Sulzer's global network services.

Key responsibilities

• Network administration and operations: design, configure, maintain and upgrade LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, switch and router infrastructure; implement segmentation, VLANs and routing protocols; monitor network health, set alerts and troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues; ensure high availability and redundancy through failover and disaster recovery; keep accurate network diagrams and documentation.
• Vulnerability management: identify and assess network security vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation, apply patches and validate fixes, and work with security teams on hardening and access control.
• Support: provide Level 2/3 support for complex network issues, own critical incidents, perform root cause analysis and maintain troubleshooting guides and a knowledge base.
• Projects and continuous improvement: lead or contribute to network upgrades and new deployments, test and validate new implementations, and drive automation and optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience managing global network services, including LAN/WAN/WiFi environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Fluent English.
• Proactive, flexible, reliable and solution-oriented, with strong analytical and communication skills, able to work independently and in a team.
