Onsite IT Support Engineer – Barcelona

About the role

AVASO Technology is looking for an Onsite IT Support Engineer to join its Barcelona office. You will provide hands‑on technical assistance to end users, ensuring that hardware, software and network issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote desktop support for Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and networking problems (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals and operating system images.
• Manage user accounts, group policies and security settings in Active Directory.
• Perform system audits, apply updates and ensure security compliance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and provide end‑user training.
• Collaborate with the IT team, handle support tickets and follow ITIL incident‑management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in desktop or end‑user support.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Active Directory, group policies, remote desktop tools.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Hardware diagnostics, repair and replacement.
• System imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
• ITIL incident, problem and change management.
• CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification.
• Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and IT security best practices.
