Operations Manager

About the role

Ausco Products is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities at its Malaga, WA facility. This senior position is pivotal in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations while supporting the company’s growth and continuous‑improvement agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all operational activities to meet production targets and optimise resource utilisation.
• Manage and develop operational staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and career development.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols, quality standards and regulatory compliance across the site.
• Monitor production schedules, inventory levels and supply‑chain logistics to minimise delays.
• Identify and execute process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee engineering, administration, sales and procurement functions, ensuring seamless integration with finance.
• Analyse operational metrics and KPIs, reporting performance to senior management.
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and asset management.
• Respond promptly to operational challenges and drive solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing manufacturing or engineering operations, preferably in a multi‑discipline environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to implement safety, quality and compliance programmes.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience using operational metrics to drive decisions.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional departments and liaise with finance.
