Operations Technician

About the role

The Operations Technician ensures real‑time continuity, safety and efficiency of our railway fleet for passenger and freight services. Working from the Control Centre, you will make decisions to minimise incident impact and guarantee on‑time arrivals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor train circulation and verify compliance with transport plans, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Manage incidents by coordinating immediate response to technical failures, delays or infrastructure contingencies, working closely with ADIF and other actors.
• Allocate rolling stock and crew resources when service changes occur.
• Provide internal reporting to maintenance, commercial and safety departments.
• Support line staff, including drivers, onboard personnel and maneuvering teams.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training (FP de Grado Superior) with relevant experience.
• Minimum one year in a transport control centre (rail, air or critical logistics) or a similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving ability under pressure and analytical mindset.
• Flexibility to work rotating 24‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
