Optimization of Load Introduction Analysis Internship

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe for a six‑month, part‑time internship (February – July 2026) that serves as your final year project (TFG). You will study and optimise load‑introduction analysis in structural tests for both manned and unmanned aircraft, supporting certification and development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute a final‑year training project on load‑introduction analysis.
• Develop tools for the design and manufacturing of complex aerostructures.
• Focus on concept and preliminary design phases to improve existing processes.
• Homogenise analysis tools and optimise industrial resources used in structural testing.
• Collaborate with a tutor for continuous monitoring and guidance.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of an Aeronautical Engineering degree.
• English proficiency at least B2 (C1 desirable).
• Spanish proficiency at least C1.
• General knowledge of aircraft structures and analytical problem‑solving.
• Ability to work in an international, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Aerostructures design and manufacturing knowledge.
• Structural stress analysis methods.
• Finite Element Method (FEM) modelling and analysis.
• Programming in Python, MATLAB or Visual Basic.
• Experience with FEM model analysis.
