Overnight Steward/Dishwasher

About the role

The Hyatt Regency Trinidad is seeking an Overnight Steward/Dishwasher to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment during night shifts. This fast‑paced position involves constant interaction with kitchen staff and ensures all service ware, cookware and work areas meet the hotel’s high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwashers and pot‑washing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Clean, sanitize and store dishes, silverware, cookware and kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain dry, clean floors and tidy waste‑bin areas; collect and dispose of trash following hotel and authority guidelines.
• Monitor chemical levels, handle chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets, and keep inventory records up to date.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, polishing surfaces and assisting with linen transport.
• Inspect items for breakage, remove damaged pieces from circulation and record them.

Required profile

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Physical ability to lift, pull and push moderate weights.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with night‑shift hours.
