Packaging Technician

About the role

Join SanLucar as a Packaging Technician, responsible for selecting and evaluating packaging materials that protect and preserve our fresh fruits and vegetables. You will ensure compliance with legislation, ESG standards, and drive sustainability initiatives within the packaging process.

Key responsibilities

• Select and evaluate suitable packaging materials for fruit and vegetable protection.
• Perform quality and sustainability testing of packaging materials.
• Assess environmental impact and identify more sustainable alternatives.
• Interpret and apply legislative regulations related to food packaging.
• Implement and supervise ESG compliance in packaging processes.
• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Supervise contracts with suppliers and customers, ensuring agreement compliance.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date packaging database.

Required profile

• Passionate about packaging and sustainability.
• Hands‑on, agile and proactive attitude.
• Strong understanding of food packaging legislation and ESG requirements.
• Ability to work with suppliers, auditors and internal teams.
