Payroll Manager & Team Leader – Spanish Payroll

About the role

As a Payroll Manager you will lead a team of Payroll Consultants while serving as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of Spanish payroll clients. The role blends people leadership, client relationship management and deep payroll expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8‑10 Payroll Consultants, supporting complex payroll and labour‑law matters.
• Act as the main escalation point for approximately 15 key clients, ensuring SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee Spanish payroll delivery, service launches and compliance with Spanish labour legislation.
• Monitor workloads, service quality, operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Track billing activities, manage purchase orders and support conflict resolution.

Required profile

• ≈15 years experience in payroll administration and Spanish labour legislation.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
