Payroll Specialist & Compensation

About the role

Airbus CRISA is seeking a Payroll Specialist & Compensation professional to own payroll processes and core HR systems for its Madrid‑area site. Reporting to the HR Director, you will act as the bridge between the external payroll provider (ADP), Finance, and employees, ensuring accurate payroll execution and benefits administration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly payroll inputs and parameterisation with ADP, handling variations, bonuses and absences.
• Validate payroll outputs, collaborate with Finance to guarantee correct salary payments, tax withholdings and Social Security contributions.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits queries.
• Maintain personnel data in the HRIS/ERP, tracking records, leaves and time‑off.
• Prepare HR metrics, mandatory reports and support internal audits and labor inspections.
• Assist the HR Director in managing and rolling out employee benefits packages, with a view to expanding into strategic compensation responsibilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in payroll management and liaison with outsourced payroll providers.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish Social Security, tax calculations and payroll audit procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain payroll concepts clearly to employees.
• Team‑player mindset, collaborating closely with HR Generalist and Finance teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ADP payroll platform.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation).
• Experience with HRIS/ERP systems for personnel administration.
• Ability to generate payroll‑related reports and analytics.
