Performance Energy Engineer – Smart Buildings

About the role

As a Performance Energy Engineer you will help customers optimise building energy use, lower operational costs and improve sustainability. Working within Siemens Smart Infrastructure’s Digital Services team, you will combine data‑driven analytics with practical engineering to deliver measurable energy savings across a range of industrial and commercial facilities in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote building data analytics and audits to assess current energy performance.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and develop facility improvement plans, including cost calculations and measurement‑verification concepts.
• Design technical solutions, specifications and baseline models for energy‑efficient operation.
• Support sales teams in qualifying digital services contracts and presenting performance reports.
• Collaborate with the Siemens European Digital Delivery Center and manage internal stakeholder processes.
• Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.

Required profile

• Experience in plant and control optimisation for industrial or building environments.
• Strong understanding of technical infrastructure and the ability to redesign systems for greater energy, operational and maintenance efficiency.
• Solid theoretical background enabling calculation of system adjustments and equipment exchanges.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Degree in civil, mechanical or energy engineering with relevant work experience.
