Powerplant Integration Engineer

About the role

An opportunity for a Powerplant Integration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for engine and propeller integration on a major turbo‑propeller aircraft project.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the engine, propeller and associated subsystems (ventilation, fuel, control, lubrication, etc.) into the aircraft powerplant architecture.
• Define physical and functional interfaces, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, certification and safety requirements.
• Support validation and verification activities through analysis, testing and inspections.
• Analyse flight and ground‑test data, proposing technical modifications or design improvements.
• Investigate in‑service anomalies and provide technical support for continuous airworthiness.
• Evaluate customer requests and modifications, assessing impact, risk and compliance.

Required profile

• Aeronautical Engineering degree or related Master’s degree.
• Initial professional experience in powerplant integration or related aircraft systems; Airbus internship highly valued.
• Advanced level of English (fluent written and spoken).
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary coordination.
