Presales Architect

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Presales Architect in Bilbao. The role is hybrid, with an average of two days per week spent in an HPE office. It focuses on technical selling to customers and partners, architecting solutions that meet customer business and technical needs across hardware, software, services and as-a-service offerings, and supporting sales teams with proposals, demonstrations and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop compelling customer proposals, review them and manage stakeholder expectations
• Translate outcome-based solutions into functional designs and then into scalable technical architectures
• Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers through presentations and product demonstrations
• Track emerging technologies, contribute to industry events and gather competitive intelligence
• Drive account business planning, nurture active deals and monitor the pipeline
• Take part in sales forecast meetings and document work throughout the sales cycle
• Build relationships with customer executives and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• First-level university technical degree or equivalent; advanced degree in technology preferred
• 8-12 years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling
• Relevant industry certifications strongly preferred; enterprise architecture and project management certifications helpful but not required

Required skills

• Leading solution configurations, demos and proofs of concept
• Deep knowledge of the company portfolio and as-a-service offerings
• Strong written and verbal communication, including English and local languages
• Consultative and value selling, including whiteboarding, objection handling and closing
• Business acumen covering TCO/ROI, financial models and CRM tools
