Private Equity Junior Investment Associate

About the role

Join an established European private‑equity platform focused on the energy transition. As a Junior Investment Associate you will support the firm’s growing investment activity across Southern European markets, working closely with senior decision‑makers on buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A processes, coordinating with advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO and cash‑flow analyses.
• Perform financial analysis, valuation work, and due‑diligence on potential investments.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and internal documentation.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, reporting and KPI follow‑up.
• Conduct market and industry research to refine investment theses.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as organic growth plans, integrations, financing/refinancing and add‑on acquisitions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or top‑tier strategy/transaction advisory, preferably in energy or industrial sectors.
• Strong exposure to transaction work: financial analysis, valuation and execution of mandates.
• Advanced financial modelling skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to work in demanding, high‑performance environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Fluency in English; Italian or Spanish is a plus.
