Procurement CAPEX Representative - Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a proactive, commercially minded Procurement CAPEX Representative to support the delivery of a portfolio of capital investment projects in a manufacturing environment. The role covers sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award, and ensures procurement decisions deliver value while supporting project objectives on cost, schedule, quality, compliance and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project objectives and business priorities.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award across CAPEX projects.
• Manage commercial aspects of contracts, purchase orders, variations and supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor procurement expenditure, commitments and forecasted costs against approved project budgets.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain, procurement and contractor-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, legal, sustainability and corporate governance requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, Engineering, Legal and EHS teams.
• Provide regular reporting on procurement activities, contract status, risks, savings and milestones.
• Support contractor onboarding, documentation management and site compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, project engineering, project controls, commercial management or related fields.
• Experience supporting sourcing, supplier negotiations, tender evaluations and contract awards.
• Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction or regulated environments.
• Experience managing purchase orders, contracts, supplier relationships and change management.
• Experience working alongside EHS, Quality, Legal and Finance functions.
• On-site presence 5 days a week.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement tools and project cost management.
• Understanding of supplier risk management and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
