Procurement Representative – Barcelona

About the role

Ecolab is seeking a commercial‑minded Procurement Representative to join its Equipment Procurement Team in Barcelona. You will focus on strategic sourcing of direct materials, driving cost optimisation and supporting the company’s global procurement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing processes and tools to achieve cost savings.
• Develop, execute and track sourcing projects, including financial validation.
• Design and implement sourcing strategies for direct‑material suppliers, including tail‑vendor management.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing agreements and long‑term contracts with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery, service level and risk exposure.
• Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing and Sales on new product and machine development.
• Analyse market trends, assess risks and provide commercial recommendations.
• Support alternative supplier qualification from a commercial perspective.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and support ERP (SAP) deployment activities.
• Coordinate with European and global procurement teams to align strategies.
• Investigate and resolve supply‑risk events, including force‑majeure situations.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or strategic sourcing of direct materials.
• Strong commercial focus with proven negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
• Excellent analytical mindset and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
