Procurement Representative (French-speaking) – Barcelona

About the role

Ecolab is seeking a French‑speaking Procurement Representative to join its Equipment Manufacturing Procurement Team in Barcelona. The role focuses on strategic sourcing of direct materials, cost optimisation, and supplier relationship management within a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and deploy Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing processes, tools, and methodologies to drive cost optimisation and value creation.
• Develop, manage, and execute sourcing and savings projects, including pipeline development, financial validation, and performance tracking.
• Identify and implement sourcing strategies for direct‑material suppliers, including tail vendors, to reduce total cost while improving supply security.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers covering pricing, contracts, and long‑term agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery reliability, service level, and risk exposure.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, and Sales during new product and machine development.
• Track market trends, assess risks and opportunities, and provide commercial recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate alternative supplier qualification initiatives from a commercial perspective.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ERP (SAP) deployment activities within procurement.
• Investigate and resolve supply risks or disruptions, including force majeure situations, with clear stakeholder communication.

• Commercial‑minded procurement professional with experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment and engage with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and risk management.
