Product Engineer – Automotive (German & English)

About the role

K-LAGAN is seeking a Product Engineer to join a technical automotive project focused on mechanical product development, feasibility and industrialisation. The role combines hands‑on engineering with cross‑functional coordination across design, quality, manufacturing, purchasing and customer teams.

Key responsibilities

• Validate technical feasibility during offer and development phases.
• Apply standardised solutions and lessons learned throughout product development.
• Participate in design reviews and support technical decision‑making.
• Manage prototype development and delivery according to project milestones.
• Conduct product and process FMEA activities.
• Analyse test results and define technical counter‑measures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams during industrialisation.
• Handle product modifications during development.
• Support cost, quality and performance improvement through technical solutions and benchmarking.
• Work with purchasing and suppliers to optimise components for cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Develop CAD 3D and 2D designs and act as technical interface with customer engineering teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 2‑3 years of experience in mechanical product development.
• Proven experience with CAD 3D/2D design and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of FMEA, product testing, prototypes and industrialisation phases.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, purchasing or supplier teams.
• Fluent in Spanish, English and German (spoken and written).
• Previous automotive sector experience is highly valued.
