Production Merchandiser / Business Developer

About the role

The Production Merchandiser / Business Developer will act as the central link between international clients, the Barcelona office and overseas production facilities. Based in Barcelona, you will ensure product requirements are clearly understood, timelines are met and samples progress smoothly from concept to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily communication with clients, design, technical and marketing teams to translate requirements into production orders.
• Manage sampling, approvals, and production follow‑up, monitoring critical paths and resolving issues.
• Prepare quotations, product presentations and costings to support sales activities.
• Identify new business opportunities, analyse customer needs and contribute to market trend monitoring.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive growth.

Required profile

• University bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, Design or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar commercial or production role with exposure to Asian manufacturing.
• Ability to travel globally and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong commercial mindset with influencing and leadership capabilities under pressure.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and Chinese are a plus.
