Project Manager (Office Based)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead a UNDP‑backed initiative aimed at accelerating Trinidad & Tobago’s transition to a net‑zero, nature‑positive economy. Based in an office setting, the role coordinates climate‑focused activities, supports policy development, and drives implementation of low‑emission energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project work plans that reduce the country’s reliance on oil and gas.
• Facilitate collaboration among government ministries, private sector, academia, and civil society through the Climate Change Focal Point Network.
• Monitor and report on greenhouse‑gas reduction targets and progress toward nature‑positive outcomes.
• Identify financing opportunities and prepare investment proposals for renewable‑energy and green‑mobility projects.
• Provide technical guidance on low‑emission technologies and ensure alignment with national policy frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development or climate‑change projects, preferably in the Caribbean region.
• Strong understanding of net‑zero, nature‑positive strategies and related policy environments.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills and ability to work across multiple sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality reports and presentations for senior decision‑makers.
