Project Manager - Retail and Office Fit Out

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services firm active in property, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, is looking for a Project Manager to work on retail and office fit-out projects in Madrid. The role covers planning, cost and risk management from design concept through to completion, and requires constant communication with English-speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage costs and risks throughout the project lifecycle, from design concept to completion.
• Coordinate design and engineering teams and the client's direct teams and suppliers.
• Prepare minutes, reports and documentation to inform the client of the project's status and decisions to be made.
• Solicit bids from contractors and, in some cases, technical teams.
• Provide technical consulting during the pre-project phase (space leasing).
• Contribute to the company's Management System, including compliance with quality and environmental policies, the Best Environmental Practices Manual and global standards.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of solid, demonstrable experience in fit-out retail and office projects.
• Degree in Building Engineering, Technical Architecture, Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering, with a specialist focus on construction and building systems.
• In-depth knowledge of on-site health and safety standards and sustainability standards.
• Strong coordination, planning and communication skills, with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.

Required skills

• Office 365 and Microsoft Project.
• English, as 90% of the work is conducted in English and technical meetings are led in English.
