Project Manager – SMS Coordination & Aviation Safety Centre

About the role

Airbus Operations in Getafe is looking for a Project Manager to lead the SMS Coordination, People, Quality and Aviation Safety Centre project. You will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensuring the project reaches maturity level 3 across all pillars.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the SMS methodology throughout the organisation and achieve defined maturity objectives.
• Build and maintain a network of internal contacts to support SMS adoption and sustainability.
• Coordinate SMS network activities, ensuring cross‑department collaboration and information flow.
• Maintain and develop SMS performance metrics and report progress using corporate tools such as Google Slides.
• Act as SMS Coordinator, tracking open points, supporting audits, and leading investigations.
• Manage planning, budgeting, and execution of the People, Quality & Aviation Safety Centre project, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Participate in follow‑up meetings with central management in English.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in physical‑space creation or similar environments.
• Familiarity with problem‑solving methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to ongoing projects.
