Project Quality and Safety Manager

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Project Quality and Safety Manager for its Bilbao site. You will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Project Quality Management Plan, act as the main interface with the client’s quality and safety teams, and support the Project Manager in gate reviews and action‑plan execution.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, document, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in line with contractual requirements and Alstom processes.
• Coordinate internal Customer Satisfaction Surveys (iCSS) with the Project Manager and drive the resulting action plans.
• Guide project teams on quality contributions, ensure awareness of the PQMP, and report progress.
• Support project audits, supplier quality reviews, and preparation of DfQ gate reviews.
• Manage non‑conformities, safety alerts, and technical change requests (CRs).
• Conduct audits and inspections to authorize deliverables for customer submission.
• Lead the Supplier Part List (SPL) management, synchronize First Article Inspections (FAIs) and support customer inspections at Alstom and supplier sites.
• Facilitate problem‑solving processes (8D, QRQC, REX) and ensure stakeholder involvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project quality and safety management, preferably in transport or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, audit procedures, and non‑conformity handling.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams, external suppliers and client representatives.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
