Project Specialist – Investable Nature Project Pipeline (Remote)

About the role
The Project Specialist will join UNDP’s Global BIOFIN team to lead the construction of a private‑sector pipeline of investable nature projects. Working remotely, the specialist will provide global technical assistance, train national teams, and ensure the quality of country‑level pipelines that mobilise finance for biodiversity and nature‑positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and finalise standardised investment frameworks, templates and criteria for pilot countries to identify and prepare investable nature‑positive projects.
- Provide technical advisory support to country teams on project sourcing, pre‑feasibility analysis, blended‑finance structuring and revenue‑stream design such as biodiversity credits and ecosystem‑service payments.
- Design and deliver trainings for global and national teams on building high‑quality investable pipelines.
- Produce guidance on enabling environments and national working groups to attract private‑sector investment in nature.
- Map, prioritise and manage partnerships with financial institutions, corporations and development banks to create synergies for nature finance.
