PwP Control Systems Engineer

About the role

A new role in the PowerPlant Control System department offers engineering challenges within an aircraft manufacturer. The position focuses on modular, flexible, and independent control system integration for powerplant architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Propose new ideas for future control system architectures.
• Identify customer needs and propose optimal solutions.
• Design and integrate new or legacy powerplant control systems.
• Validate new design solutions and design testing platforms.
• Coordinate transversal activities with engine manufacturers.
• Analyze qualification and verification documentation for system integration.
• Support aircraft test campaigns (labs/ground) as design office support.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering.
• Team‑working and problem‑solving mindset.
• Experience in design and development of control systems for complex aerospace or defence applications.
• Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Control systems design and development.
• System testing campaigns.
• Software development, control theory, PLC programming.
• Microcontrollers and communication buses (ARINC 429, MIL‑STD‑1553, CAN, AFDX).
• System maintenance (BITE concepts) and dataloading (ARINC 615A, 665).
• MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation.
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and certification standards (DO‑178C, DO‑254, CS‑25, CS‑23).
