Quality Aircraft Manager – Temporary

About the role

An opportunity for a Quality Aircraft Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful candidate will join the Quality MRO Team and will be responsible for ensuring that operational processes meet the requirements of the Quality Management System and related certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and implement control and inspection plans for hardware, software and services, using traditional methods and emerging technologies such as virtual/augmented reality.
• Monitor product and service conformity, manage non‑conformances, analyse deviations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collect, analyse and visualise process and performance data to identify early variations and apply root‑cause analysis.
• Provide evidence of conformity to Programme Quality Assurance and, when authorised, to external authorities (ISO, IAQG, EASA).
• Support new product and process development by applying risk analysis, lessons‑learned, APQP and DFMEA.
• Ensure software and data integrity through verification, validation and certification activities.
• Carry out supplier development and surveillance, supporting qualification of supplier manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance within aerospace or defence.
• Experience in managing people and handling conflicts.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities and a proactive attitude toward proposing improvements.
