Quality Assurance Engineer – Venezuela

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the development, implementation and operation of Quality Control programs for its QRC in Barcelona, Venezuela. The position is 100% onsite and involves translating customer specifications and industry standards into product and process criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate random inspections, inbound and production checks, and dimensional inspections of parts and pumps.
• Generate inspection plans, photographic release reports, and dimensional reports to ensure product quality.
• Issue reports and metrics on QRC indicators, manage NCRs, and ensure proper closure of quality reports.
• Lead inter‑departmental problem‑solving groups using KPI data and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Maintain relationships with customers, third‑party inspectors, and external suppliers; participate in supplier audits.
• Administer document systems, prepare dossiers, and provide required documentation to customers.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Advanced English proficiency (optional).

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ASME, ASTM and API standards.
• Experience with PFMEA development and control plan implementation.
• Proficiency in problem‑solving tools such as 8D, A3, DMAIC, 3x5 Whys, Fishbone and C&E.
• Use of measurement equipment for dimensional inspection.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
