Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

MBDA is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support complex defence programmes in Madrid. You will ensure full compliance with customer, regulatory and internal requirements throughout the system life‑cycle, contributing directly to programme execution and product reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage quality aspects of defence programmes across the full system lifecycle.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA processes aligned with contractual, regulatory and internal standards.
• Certify conformity of final deliveries and manage related delegations.
• Integrate quality into programme governance and support Programme Managers.
• Conduct inspections and validation activities according to Control Plans.
• Manage customer and supplier quality requirements, including Project Quality Plans.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce Cost of Quality.
• Validate product and programme quality gates from a QA perspective.
• Ensure compliance with national regulations, industry standards and internal specifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Industrial or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of quality experience in the defence sector.
• Strong knowledge of AQAP and PECAL standards.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and EN 9100 quality management systems.
• Good understanding of engineering and programme activities.
• Fluent English (C1) and fluent Spanish.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
