Quality Line Side Manager - Fuselage Line (C295)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Quality Line Side Manager for the fuselage line of the C295 aircraft in Tablada, near Seville. The line was developed as the first fuselage moving line in the defence aerospace industry. Inside Production Quality, the manager increases customer satisfaction and reduces the level of non-conformities, working closely with FAL, Procurement and the MFT, and leading a team of inspectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver parts to internal customers on quality, on time and on cost.
• Organise and optimise inspection activities and lead operational surveillance.
• Support a robust production takt time by resolving quality issues quickly and preventing foreign object debris (FOD).
• Respond quickly to quality issues, supporting the multi-functional team and the customer, and set up containment, corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up KPIs, improve them continuously and draw up action plans when needed.
• Carry out investigations and root cause analysis of reported quality and technical issues using Practical Problem Solving (PPS).

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• Ability to lead a team and across functions, and to lead meetings in English while working daily in Spanish.
• Ability to simplify things, meet deadlines and stay positive under pressure.
• Engagement in making aircraft.
