Research Nurse – Nephrology & Transplantation

About the role

The Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is looking for a Research Nurse to join its Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Group. The role combines nursing duties with the coordination of independent clinical trials, supporting cutting‑edge research in renal medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information to potential trial participants and obtain informed consent.
• Select, include, and follow‑up patients enrolled in clinical studies.
• Collect blood and other biological samples, perform centrifugation, freezing, and arrange shipment to central laboratories.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical data in source documents, eCRFs, and ISF.
• Coordinate trial activities to ensure protocol compliance and GCP standards.
• Attend site monitoring visits, review queries, and resolve issues.
• Participate in research group meetings and related scientific activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (obtained at least three years prior to application).
• Fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
• Strong organisational skills, motivation and initiative.
• Good communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with SAP.
