Restaurant Manager – Playa Blanca

About the role

Barceló Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the dining operations at its Playa Blanca resort in Lanzarote. You will ensure high standards of service, hygiene, and guest satisfaction while managing a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning, preparation of equipment, utensils and service areas.
• Set up and break down tables, ensuring proper mise en place.
• Oversee sector heads and waitstaff, monitoring performance and compliance.
• Maintain hygiene standards and presentation of staff and premises.
• Welcome guests, escort them to tables and take orders when needed.
• Promote and upsell menu items aligned with company goals.
• Conduct inventory checks of furniture, crockery, linen and supplies.
• Prepare purchase proposals and place orders as directed.
• Plan work schedules, manage staff onboarding and departures.
• Handle billing, cash reconciliation and revenue liquidation.
• Report any quality or presentation issues to senior management.

Required profile

• Vocational training (medium or higher) in Hospitality/Restaurant Management or a degree in Tourism.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
• High level of English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven capability to lead and develop teams.
