Restaurant Server – Trinidad

About the role

The Restaurant Server will work across Hyatt Regency Trinidad’s food and beverage outlets, delivering a memorable dining experience to guests. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment while representing the Hyatt brand.

Key responsibilities

• Serve guests in assigned outlets such as waterfront, lobby, pool, in‑room dining, or the Cinnamon restaurant.
• Prepare tables with linens, silverware and glassware and maintain a sanitary dining area.
• Present menus, explain specials, make recommendations and upsell where appropriate.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, verify age for alcoholic beverages and enter details into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages, clear tables, process checks and handle cash transactions.
• Assist with additional tasks such as resetting dining areas and supporting kitchen staff as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of three CXC O‑Level passes, including Mathematics.
• At least one year of experience in food‑and‑beverage service or customer‑facing roles.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate weights, stand, walk and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights and public holidays.
• Valid food handling badge and COVID‑19 vaccination.

Required skills

• Operation of a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
