Retail Associate – 15h Part-Time (ECI Alicante)

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company is hiring a part-time retail associate (15 hours per week) for its ECI store in Alicante. With more than 430 retail stores worldwide, associates act as brand ambassadors, answering customer questions, making product recommendations and helping the store leadership team deliver memorable customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits and availability, and by understanding customers' needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety, and retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations.
• Process all cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty programme sign-ups) accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing and processing incoming and outgoing product flow.

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization.
• Aged 16 or older.
• Ability to move around actively in a physical environment, lifting items up to 40 lbs, and occasional exposure to dust and noise.
• Clear communication with others and a flexible schedule, which may change seasonally.

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Using other retail software tools.

What we offer

• Expected pay of 1,328.03 EUR, reflecting the gross expected pay for full-time positions; new hires are usually paid the hiring rate of the specific store, with prior experience taken into account.
