Retail Associate – 24-hour Store

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company, with more than 430 retail stores worldwide, is hiring a Retail Associate in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The associate acts as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interaction, product knowledge and efficient checkout.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer questions about product features, benefits and availability, and recommend suitable options
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety standards, and restock the sales floor
• Process cash register transactions such as sales, returns, exchanges and loyalty programme sign-ups
• Receive, handle, replenish and process incoming and outgoing product flow

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization
• Age 16 or older
• Able to move around actively and lift items up to 40 lbs, with occasional exposure to dust and noise
• Flexible schedule, which may change seasonally

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Using other retail software tools

Expected pay is 1,224.21 EUR for full-time positions; new hires are usually paid the hiring rate of the specific store, with prior experience taken into account.
