Retail Associate – End-of-Year Season (15h)

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company is hiring a Retail Associate in Málaga for its end-of-year season. With more than 430 retail stores worldwide, associates act as brand ambassadors, answering customer questions, making product recommendations and helping the Store Leadership team deliver memorable in-store experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits and availability, and by understanding customers' needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety, and retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations.
• Process cash register transactions such as sales, returns and exchanges, and connect customers to the loyalty program.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing and processing incoming and outgoing product flow accurately and efficiently.

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization.
• Age 16 or older.
• Able to move around actively in a physical environment, lifting items up to 40 lbs, and occasionally work in a place with dust and noise.
• Clear communication with others and a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally.

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Using other retail software tools.

Expected pay is listed as 1,363.91 EUR, reflecting the gross expected pay for full-time positions; new hires are usually paid the hiring rate of the specific store, and prior experience is taken into account.
