RF Engineer

About the role

Support the planning, optimization and performance management of Digicel's radio access networks across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G to improve coverage, capacity, service quality and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform RF planning and optimization activities to enhance coverage, capacity and quality.
• Monitor and analyse network KPIs, traffic trends, interference and utilization, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct drive tests, spectrum scans and network measurements to identify issues.
• Prepare RF coverage predictions, site evaluations and network design inputs for expansions and upgrades.
• Execute approved RF parameter changes and verify performance before and after implementation.
• Support network rollout, technology upgrades, frequency refarming and handover to operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in RF planning, optimization or performance management in mobile networks.

Required skills

• RF planning tools such as Atoll, Planet, iBwave or equivalent.
• Drive‑testing and analysis tools such as Nemo, TEMS, Actix, Azenqos, Echo or equivalent.
• Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G technologies, network architecture and RF principles.
• Experience with multi‑vendor equipment (Ericsson, ZTE, Huawei, Nokia).
