Risk Specialist (Operational / Non-Financial Risk)

About the role

Deutsche Bank is looking for a Risk Specialist to join its Operational / Non-Financial Risk team in Madrid. You will help strengthen the management of operational and third-party risks across the organization, working closely with stakeholders in different business areas to support risk assessments, monitoring and continuous improvement in a dynamic international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and outsourcing governance, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective engagement with regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate the implementation of the Operational Resilience framework, including ICT risk oversight, third-party dependencies, regulatory reporting and legal entity compliance.
• Provide independent operational risk oversight and challenge across incident management, scenario analysis, operational losses and control effectiveness.
• Act as a trusted advisor on risk governance, identifying and escalating issues that could affect resilience, risk profile or reputation.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships and drive risk governance, strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk Management or Third-Party Risk Management.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and the broader banking and control environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide independent challenge.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented and adaptable, with fluency in English.
• Proven ability to use AI tools productively and ethically, optimizing workflows while applying critical judgment.
