RTR Accountant – French Speaker

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a French‑speaking RTR Accountant to join its Accounting team in Spain. The role supports the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) function, working with multiple countries and a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ad‑hoc support on accounting issues within the RTR Center of Excellence.
• Execute financial booking activities in line with IFRS and Sulzer policies.
• Manage clearing, reconciliations and adjustments to keep the general ledger accurate.
• Leverage ERP expertise to streamline accounting processes and support system implementations.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and related hierarchies.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, shared services and BPO providers.
• Assist with period‑end close, sub‑ledger reconciliation, journal entry preparation and variance analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement of the RTR process and ensure internal controls are applied.
• Handle intercompany reconciliation in Coprocess and Tagetik.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proficiency with ERP systems for accounting processes.
• Experience using Tagetik for financial reporting.
• Experience with Coprocess for intercompany reconciliation.
• Ability to maintain and update chart of accounts structures.
