Sales Internship - Group Sales

About the role

Sofitel Barcelona, a 5-star hotel in the city centre near the beach, is looking for a full-time Sales Intern to support the Sales department. The internship covers group proposals, the group database and event support, and lasts at least 6 months, 5 days a week (40 hours).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit group proposals according to the guidelines set by the sales executives.
• Maintain the group database and keep the archive and documentation accessible to the team.
• Help prepare meeting materials such as conference kits and direct mail, working with the Sales Manager.
• Take part in the reception and operation of groups and events with the Conference Welcomer.
• Learn marketing and communication basics to perform the assigned tasks well.
• Provide friendly, professional service to guests up to Sofitel brand standards and build positive client relationships.
• Complete tasks accurately and on time, keeping information confidential.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality school or a business school.
• Legal right to work in Spain from the start date; no visa or work permit sponsorship.
• Strong social and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic and detail-oriented.
• Eager to learn, with no prior specialization required.
• Available for at least 6 months, 5 days a week.

Required skills

• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
