Sales Representative – Maritime & Logistics

About the role

The Sales Representative is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing existing client accounts, and promoting Pérez y Cía. Group’s portfolio of maritime and logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify prospects and emerging trends.
• Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Coordinate with operations and customer‑service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Visit clients and prospects regularly to build relationships.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and performance reports.
• Participate in industry events and represent the company.
• Provide regular updates on sales performance to management.

Required profile

• Strong sales and business‑development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification and account management.
• Experience in client relationship management, negotiation and closing commercial agreements.
• Knowledge or experience in maritime, logistics, shipping or freight forwarding services.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, organise priorities and meet revenue targets.
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally and regionally.
• Relevant education in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Maritime Studies or equivalent professional experience.
