SAP Technical & Service Delivery Specialist (S/4HANA)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is looking for an SAP Technical & Service Delivery Specialist with expertise in S/4HANA. The role combines deep SAP Basis expertise with service delivery management (SAP Hosting), coordinating the service providers that support the company's SAP landscape. It covers both the technical operation of the SAP systems and the end-to-end delivery of server infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• SAP technical operations: perform Basis administration (installation, configuration, patching and upgrades of S/4HANA), monitor system performance, availability and stability, manage the transport management system and troubleshoot complex issues across database, OS and application layers.
• Server delivery and infrastructure: manage SLAs, KPIs, change requests and service improvements for server assets, from capacity planning and hardware/virtual specification to deployment and integration into production.
• Provision and configure high-performance compute, memory and storage resources optimised for SAP HANA workloads.
• Use automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform to deliver SAP application servers and database nodes.
• Manage server lifecycles and capacity, coordinate with infrastructure teams and integrate server components into the Airbus network and security perimeter.
• Take part in SAP projects, migrations and landscape transformations, document configurations and workflows, and support end users and other IT teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or Technical Specialist focused on S/4HANA.
• Demonstrated experience in service delivery management, including provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management of enterprise server infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work independently and strong communication skills with functional teams and infrastructure vendors.
• SAP Basis or HANA certification is a plus; Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure) or Infrastructure Automation certifications are a significant advantage.
