Satellite Functional Validation Infrastructure Engineer Internship

About the role

Join Airbus in Getafe for an 11‑month internship where you will work on the digital backbone that validates satellite flight readiness. You will collaborate with senior engineers to integrate software, hardware, and network components on real ESA missions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining hybrid test benches, integrating NSVF with real‑time simulators and avionics.
• Support installation and health‑checking of Special Check‑Out Equipment (SCOE) and Central Checkout Systems (CCS).
• Monitor and troubleshoot data traffic on MIL‑STD‑1553, CAN bus, and SpaceWire interfaces.
• Configure secure network links for System Validation Tests, linking the clean‑room satellite to remote ground stations.
• Deploy and test virtualized environments that run digital twins of spacecraft.

Required profile

• Final‑year university student in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
• Interest in aerospace protocols and satellite hardware validation.
