SDR Coach and Trainer
SumUp · Barcelone
Job description
About the role
The Sales Enablement team at SumUp is looking for an SDR Coach and Trainer to build a coaching infrastructure that shifts the SDR function from volume‑driven activity to higher‑quality prospecting and merchant acquisition. Based in the Barcelona office, you will support SDRs in both Barcelona and Milan, helping them improve discovery, objection handling, and overall call quality.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver onboarding programmes, role‑play sessions, and continuous skill‑development workshops for new and existing SDRs.
- Create and maintain structured coaching frameworks, scorecards, and feedback loops in partnership with SDR Team Leads.
- Analyse call recordings, role‑plays and performance data to identify development needs and provide targeted coaching.
- Configure and manage AI‑driven role‑play tools to enable multilingual practice and consistent feedback across European markets.
- Document best practices from top performers and translate performance trends into actionable training material.
Required profile
- Proven experience in B2B SaaS SDR, BDR, Inside Sales or Sales Training with a solid grasp of outbound sales, discovery and objection handling.
- Strong coaching mindset: active listening, quick diagnosis, practical feedback and trust‑building with reps and managers.
- Ability to build onboarding programmes and workshops from scratch in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
- Fluency in English and at least one core EU language (e.g., French, German, Italian) with experience supporting multilingual sales teams.
Required skills
- Experience with AI‑driven role‑play or training platforms.
- Proficiency in using call‑recording and analytics tools for performance assessment.
What we offer
- Opportunity to work on large‑scale fintech products used by millions of businesses worldwide.
- Office‑first setup in Barcelona with a collaborative, diverse and inclusive culture.
- Virtual Stock Option programme giving you a stake in SumUp’s future.
- Annual L&D budget of €2000 for conferences or further education.
- Generous time off: 23 days paid leave plus public holidays and special leave days.
- Subsidised restaurant tickets and other employee benefits.
