Secondary Maths Teacher – Temporary Cover

About the role

The British School of Barcelona is seeking an experienced Secondary Maths Teacher to join its Castelldefels campus on a temporary, full‑time basis. The appointment will cover a paternity leave starting August 2026 and will conclude when the regular teacher returns.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality mathematics lessons to secondary students in line with the English National Curriculum, GCSE, A‑Level and IB programmes.
• Prepare and mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
• Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and uphold the school’s safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching secondary mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and international qualifications (GCSE, A‑Level, IB).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage a diverse student body.
• Commitment to the school’s values of academic excellence and student welfare.
