Sector Manager – Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

The Sector Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas of Barceló Playa Blanca, ensuring high standards of service, hygiene and guest satisfaction. This on‑site role coordinates staff, manages resources and supports the smooth operation of restaurants, bars and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and intervene in the delivery of food and beverage services (restaurants, bars, etc.).
• Plan shifts, manage time and resources, and control stock levels.
• Organise table assignments for waitstaff and monitor their performance.
• Correct staff actions and facilitate problem‑solving.
• Ensure personal hygiene, staff presentation and cleanliness of the sector.
• Control mise en place and take orders.
• Report any deficiencies in food quality or presentation to the maître.

Required profile

• Mid‑level or higher vocational training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio o Superior).
• Minimum 1 year experience as a waiter, preferably in a similar supervisory position.
• High level of English; additional language (French or German) is desirable.
• Strong organisational and problem‑resolution abilities.
• Capability to lead and manage a team.
