Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting Lead

About the role

M SAN GRUPA is expanding its operations in Spain and seeks a Senior Accountant to own the full spectrum of local accounting activities. You will work independently, ensuring compliance with Spanish financial regulations while supporting the growth of a fast‑moving distribution business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve accounting policies aligned with business needs.
• Represent the company before auditors, tax authorities, and state institutions.
• Prepare and supervise annual work plans, set performance indicators, and monitor results.
• Manage monthly, periodic, annual and consolidated financial reporting in line with regulations.
• Monitor accounting and tax legislation, providing guidance for compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and authorities, and support group‑wide accounting alignment.
• Oversee payroll processes, ensuring legal and internal compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting, tax and financial reporting requirements (e.g., 347, 349, VAT, CIT).
• Proven ability to deliver quality results on time and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational and people‑development skills with potential to build a future team.
• Fluency in English and a Category B driving licence.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
