Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor

About the role

Exactly Accountancy is seeking a Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor to join its Altea office. The role involves handling complex accounting and tax matters for a diverse portfolio of expats and entrepreneurs in Spain, ensuring high technical standards and supporting team development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for autónomos and limited companies (IVA, IRPF, 349, 190, 180, 390, 720, etc.).
• Provide high‑level tax and accounting advice to clients.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and ensure compliance with Spanish regulations.
• Manage correspondence with the Agencia Tributaria.
• Advise clients on company formations and self‑employment registrations.
• Mentor junior accountants and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Support process improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in an asesoría or gestoría in Spain.
• Proven experience working with Spanish limited companies (SL) and handling all relevant taxes.
• In‑depth knowledge of Spanish accounting and fiscal regulations.
• Strong communication skills with a client‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English, written and spoken.
