Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing, heavily regulated business that trades high‑value physical assets. As our first compliance hire in Spain, you will build and own the compliance function from day one, ensuring every transaction meets regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the AML and KYC framework for the Spanish operation.
• Own risk assessments, SAR filings and direct communication with regulators.
• Conduct transaction monitoring, enhanced due diligence, SEPBLAC reporting, sanctions and PEP screening.
• Report to the Group Legal Director and work within a tight team of three.
• Prepare for the upcoming Italy launch, with Italian language a plus.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Spanish financial‑crime compliance or a strong second‑line analyst ready to take full responsibility.
• Proven judgment to make decisions independently without relying on committees.
• Comfortable working in a high‑exposure environment and handling regulator interactions directly.
• Fluent in Spanish; Italian is a bonus but not required.
