Senior Contracts Manager - Energy Sector

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring a Senior Contracts Manager for its energy sector practice in Madrid. The role covers contract management across the full lifecycle of large energy projects, including change and claims management, and works closely with procurement and legal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and define tender and contract strategies with key business functions, and monitor supply chain developments to give early warning of risks to the critical path
• Support the development of PQQs, tender documentation, evaluation criteria and scopes of work, and evaluate proposals for FEED and EPCI packages
• Manage commercial and contractual matters with procurement and legal, proactively manage contracts and lead claim negotiations and dispute resolution
• Maintain comprehensive records to assess contract variations, ensure contract compliance, monitor deliverables and report variances in scope to stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Analyse data and produce reports for forecasting, planning and record keeping
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders

Required profile

• 7+ years of contract management experience within major capital programs
• University degree in a relevant subject such as project management, engineering, supply chain, procurement, quantity surveying, business or a related discipline
• Experience of contract change and claim management throughout the project lifecycle
• Extensive knowledge of Contracts for Surveys and Operations
• Understanding of financial analysis and reporting of project budgets
• Fluency in both Spanish and English
